Makenzie Thompson, an intelligent 18-year-old woman, was admitted to 49 universities in the US as a result of her stellar high school grades.

Makenzie Thompson graduated with a stellar 4.0 grade from Atlanta, Georgia’s Westlake High School. 49 out of the 51 American universities she applied to accepted her after she submitted applications to all 51.

She received an overall $1.5 million scholarship award in addition to being accepted to a whopping 49 universities. “The acceptances started arriving through mail and email. “Wow, there’s another one,” my parents exclaimed. Thompson said:

“Acceptance is one thing, but once you see that they were going to offer me money—that really started adding up fast.”

Thompson thought that her exceptional high school GPA, extracurricular activities, and hard work were the reasons for her success in getting into her desired college. She said that the University of Illinois and New York’s Cornell University were responsible for her two rejections.
