Bank customers lose N472 million to fraudsters in 3 months

Meanwhile, a report by the Financial Institution Training Centre (FITC) revealed that customers in Nigerian banks have lost N472m to fraud in the first three months of 2023.

The FITC has several members of the Nigeria Bankers Committee where even the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation, and every licensed bank in the country are involved.

In a report that was disclosed by them, a total fraud case of 12,552 have been reported, recorded and are under review at the moment.
