A young Nigerian man is desperately seeking support to fund his forthcoming wedding ceremony.
The man, identified as Hassan, shared the wedding list with an Islamic matchmaking organisation so that they could raise funds for him.
Katsina-state-born Hassan explained that he is an orphan after losing his parents many years ago when he was in senior secondary school (SS2).

Halal matchmaking shared Hassan’s marriage list on Twitter, explaining that he had emailed them and needs their support for his marriage coming up on March 3, 2023.
In the list Hassan, a computer science graduate shared, everything sums up to $1,285 (about N963,750).
What is on the wedding list?
Some of the items listed include house rent at $250 (N187,500), seven pieces of hijab at $50 each (N262,500), five lace materials at $80 each (N300,000), five pieces of jewellery at $100 each (N375,000), amongst others.
Many people in the comments section shared their opinion about the post, with one @ibroayoIf saying, “we contributed to his wedding, what will be the means of sustenance for his family?”
Others wondered why the list is in US dollars and not in Naira, while @hassanmm27 said, “All he’s asking for is the wedding not feeding her. That one is his own wahala.”
