A video of a Nigerian family that retrieved over 3 million naira from their piggy boxes after saving for 12 months has trended online.
The video shared on Twitter showed the amount a mother had inspired her children to gather after the end of a year.
Netizens celebrated the family’s dedication after they collected over 3 million naira from the entire savings.

The video, shared by @Naija_PR showed the broken piggy boxes containing each individual’s savings from January to December.
“To God be the glory, we started in January, and this is December,” the happy mum said.
Filled with joy after a sense of fulfillment, the mother confessed how proud she was after forcing her children to save.
The mother, who saved way higher than her children, recorded the video while calling out the amount that each of them had in their boxes.
“I am proud of my girls…it was difficult for them, but I forced them to do it,” she said as they clapped over their achievement.
However, the video never ended without the woman proclaiming that the family will do better the following year and that whoever was watching should find it as a challenge.
