E don cast: Nigerian student in 300 level discovers his name is not on school’s register

A Nigerian student has revealed how he found out that his name was missing from his university’s register.

During an interview with Arrow House Studios, the unidentified student said he was a student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Having been in school for three sessions, he decided to change his course from Statistics to Computer Science.

While attempting to change course, he shockingly discovered he was not a bona fide student.

“I had just left UNN after doing three years studying statistics. I was trying to change to Computer Science after studying Statistics, and I realised that my name wasn’t even in the register,” he said.

Reactions: It’s a normal thing in Nigeria

Netizens flooded the comments section to react to the short TikTok video posted by Arrow House Studios.

Many said sad situations like these were regular occurrences in some Nigerian universities, especially Federal varsities.

Some also shared similar experiences they had with issues like this, while others asked the young man to explain who gave him the matriculation number during enrollment.

Nigerian student bags first-class degree abroad

Meanwhile, a Nigerian student shared his happiness after bagging a first-class degree from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom.

Ibukun Mofesola, who shared the post on Twitter, revealed that he previously graduated with a third-class degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2012.

However, ten years later, he got a first-class degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.
