I didn’t let hope die — Nigerian student thanks God for academic journey, recounts turbulent experiences

A Nigerian student has given netizens a floor to thank God by sharing tales of his academic journey. Emmanuel Seyon Omale narrated his story beginning from a post he made last year.

At age 10, he gained admission into secondary school. In 2017, he excelled in his Basic Education Certificate Examination by getting all A’s.

In 2020, he had all B’s in his West African Senior Certificate Examination but was denied admission into the University of Lagos in 2021. His Post Utme result was withheld due to technical hitches during the virtual exam.

Excellence doesn’t hide

Although he was 4 months behind, Emmanuel registered for the JUPEB program and completed the cycle in flying colors – all A’s.

Today, he is a 200-level Mechanical Engineering student in Olabisi Onabanjo University(O.O.U).

In his own words “it hasn’t been an easy journey especially as an student-entrepreneur and growth strategist working with startups but it’s been worth it. I’m remembering this event in deep gratitude and show of appreciation to God. God be praised!”

Netizens indeed thank God for him. See some of their comments:

Nigerian students choose dancing over revealing their result

Meanwhile, a Nigerian undergraduate did an amusing public experiment where he asked his colleagues to either dance or reveal their CGPA scores.

In a funny video clip, the Ahmadu Bello University student, @lilgrinvybes went around asking his colleagues to pick a side.

However, it was hilarious as every student he approached except for one preferred to dance rather than reveal their CGPA.
