A Nigerian man shared his take on bride price and said that non-virgins should be given out for free in marriage.
He shared this in a tweet where he stated that a man should only pay bride price for a virgin and take it after marriage.
He referred to virginity as a woman’s pride and it was worth a bride price and non-virgins should be given out for free.
He stated that if a woman had a body count greater than 25 she should be given out for free.
He wrote: “Bride price used to be paid because the brides were virgins. The man will take it after paying for it, it’s the value/pride of the bride. You have a body count > 25, what am I paying for? A token thanking the dudes before me? Non-virgins should be given free.”

Meanwhile, a Nigerian medical student, identified as Jay ,has taken to social media to state that he can’t pay the bride price of a woman who is not a virgin.
According to Jay, paying the brideprice of a girl who is not a virgin is like going to the mall to buy a drink that has already been opened.
He wrote: “Can’t pay bride price for a woman that is not a virgin. It’s like going to a mall to buy a drink and you find one on the shelf only to see it’s opened. Would you still pay for it??”
