  • A graduate of The Dillard University, New Orleans did not attend her convocation ceremony due to childbirth.
  • The board of the university decided to surprise one of their scholarly graduates in the labor room. 
  • Dillard University hosted its convocation ceremony for its graduating students in New Orleans, Louisiana.

One of the university’s graduates identified as Jada Sayles could not be present to receive her certificate due to child birth.

According to them, the lady was expected to be present at the convocation ceremony in New Orleans as she was expecting a child almost about the same time.

Oyinbo lady gives birth to bouncing baby boy on graduation day

She disclosed the circumstances surrounding the birth of her son on the same date as her convocation.

She mentioned that she was well set to receive her degree across the stage but rather, got a baby boy instead.

In her words:

“I thought I was gonna walk across the stage to get my degree, instead I got my baby,”

Surprisingly, the university board including Dr. Walter M Kimbrough, the outgoing president of the historically Black university, decided to present the degree in her hospital room after she had given birth.

In another news, a UK school with a large Nigerian student population has become popular on TikTok as an oyinbo lecturer confirmed by her attendance sheet.

Many of the students who were present in one of the school’s courses talked in Pidgin English.

An Oyinbo lecturer was seen marking the attendance record in the video that @koggbagidi shared on TikTok.
