Once again, the Nigerian flag has been raised high as popular Nigerian afrobeat singer — Tems, bags a Grammy award.
The 65th edition of the annual Grammy Awards ceremony happened over the weekend. The nominees from Nigeria were Burna boy and Tems.
And for the first time ever, a female Nigerian artiste, and a female Afrobeats artiste has bagged the award. The star name: Tems, is definitely going down in Africa and Nigeria’s history.

Tems is biggggg
Tems, real name, Temilade Openiyi, quit her job in 2018 to pursue a career in music. She officially entered the spotlight in 2019 when she released her debut single — Try Me. She won the award for all the efforts she put into rapper Future’s song titled Wait For You.
Fellow Nigerian music star, Burna Boy was nominated in two different categories but went home with nothing.

In another story, American rapper, Snoop Dogg publicly begged female Nigerian Artist, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, for a musical collaboration.
Tems has gotten the appraisal of many Nigerians through her exceptional music style that has gone international.
In a video shared on social media, Snoop Dogg intentionally asked for a music collaboration with Tems.
