A Taiwanese man has asked his fiancée to pay him for the expensive engagement ring he used in proposing to her.
The man bought a diamond engagement ring for N2.2m and proposed to his long-term girlfriend in the presence of her friends, and she excitedly said yes to him.
However, the man has now asked his fiance to pay fifty per cent of the money he used to buy the engagement ring.

Southern China Morning Post reported that the lady was shocked and has not worn the engagement ring because she is unhappy with her man.
The man insists that since they both have an equal stake in the relationship, they must split the bills.
Relationship on the brink
The four-year relationship of the Taiwanese lovebirds is now on the brink because of this new development.
Social media users have asked the lady to return the ring and dump her man because he would want to split everything with her in the relationship.
Someone said the man picked the diamond ring and the price and that the lady had no input in that decision.

Groom storms out of wedding due to extortion
Meanwhile, a groom angrily left his engagement ceremony because of the bride’s family’s unceasing demands.
The bride’s family complained that some demands in the bride price list were not fully provided and decided to ask the groom to provide them.
However, the groom was fed up with their demands and stormed out of the ceremony.
