What exactly do you want?: Netizens query Yvonne Nelson following her reaction to Sarkodie’s claims

  • Yvonne Nelson did not keep her calm when Sarkodie in his new song claimed that he was against her aborting the baby.
  • Sarkodie claimed that he truly wasn’t ready to be a father but he told her to keep the baby but she refused.
  • She explained at that point he didn’t want her to have a baby because he had a woman he was serious with then.

Popular Ghanaian actress has been making headlines ever since she published her book, “I am not Yvonne Nelson”

A part of the book talked about the abortion she had many years ago, according to her Ghanaian singer, Sarkodie who impregnated her and then insisted she aborted the baby.

However, the musician debunked her accusations in his just-released song, “Try Me”, Sarkodie defended himself as he made it clear that contrary to her words, he truly wasn’t ready to be a father but he told her to keep it, and she refused.

“I am not going to sit here and lie we had a thing, first I thought we were cool till I had a hint … You told me you were pregnant and I was the one to be blamed … yes I wasn’t ready but I told you to keep it and you explained that you have to complete your school”. he raps in the first verse of the song,” he said in the first verse if his song.

However, his claims did not sit well with the actress who took to her Twitter account to express herself.

“Insults won’t work Michael. Respect womanhood, I’m happy the world gets to see how you are playing this and the real you. Young women get to learn from this. You would get the applause for a rap. still doesn’t change the TRUTH”

“In my book, I narrated how you got me pregnant, How you couldn’t wait for me to get rid of it. How you DROVE me to have an abortion. As usual, you want to use rap to rubbish a pain a young woman felt. We both have daughters, lets see what life throws at them”

“Michael, you claim I was desperate to abort because I needed to complete school. In 2010 when I became pregnant, I had completed the university. Anybody can verify this. I wasn’t in school and you know it. If you want to lie, find a logical lie”

And would you have readily agreed for me to keep a pregnancy when you were in a serious relationship with another lady who would become your wife? Your street line is played out..” she stated.

I wasn’t ready but still told you to keep it – Sarkodie replies Yvonne Nelson

In a chapter titled ‘A Difficult Decision’, she said the rapper said no to keeping the pregnancy.

But reacting in his latest single, ‘Try Me [Raw]’ released on Wednesday, the rapper claimed he had asked her to keep the pregnancy even though he wasn’t ready to be the father.

“Yes, I wasn’t ready but then I told you to keep it. So don’t make it seem like I was pushing you for abortion,” he raps in the first verse of the song.
