Just In: INEC moves governorship and state assembly elections to March 18

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the governorship and state assembly election to Saturday, March 18, 2023.

The election which was originally slated for the 11th of March has been rescheduled and will now hold a week from the initial date.

According to ChannelsTv, INEC decided to postpone the election after its officials held a meeting Wednesday evening because there is allegedly a logistic issue with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) transportation and configuration.
