Nollywood actress Margaret Olayinka, popularly known as Iya Gbonkan, has reportedly received over N5 million for her car and housing project.
The 64-year-old Yoruba movie star had expressed in a viral video that despite her fame and years in the industry, she did not own a car and relied on public transportation.
She appealed to her followers to celebrate her with a new car while she was still alive.
In a video circulating online, Iya Gbonkan expressed her gratitude and offered prayers for those who supported her after her plea.
She thanked them sincerely and wished them abundant blessings.

According to an Instagram user, the actress has received over N5 million in donations from fans and a Nigerian clergy member who watched the video.
The user stated that Pastor Gabriel reached out to Iya Gbonkan, visited her in Osogbo, and immediately began gathering funds from kind-hearted individuals worldwide to fulfil her dream.

Additionally, two fellow actresses, Abeni Agbon and Tamotiye, also received donations of 500K each during the visit.
