It is very unusual to see husbands or fathers prepare food in Nigeria but a charming man seemed not to be irked by it as he prepared soup for his family.
It is no news in Nigeria that everybody has their own role to play in the family, while a mother prepares the home for the family, a father is in charge of the finances and the children help their parents till they are independent.
Although with the younger generations, it’s no big deal to see husbands help their wives in the kitchen but it is very rare amongst the older generations.
However, an older Nigerian man has done what some men would forbid as he prepared a meal in his home.
Man prepares vegetable soup
In a video posted by one @_divaposh on TikTok, she captured her dad preparing a vegetable soup in their home.
The unidentified man was seen in the verandah of his house with a gas cooker, water, vegetable, a grinder, and several other things to prepare the soup.
The young lady, @_divaposh explained that she came out of her house that morning and saw her father preparing a sumptuous meal of vegetable soup.
According to her, when she questioned her father why he was the one preparing the food, he said her mother’s meal doesn’t taste well so he decided to be the chef for the day.
The young lady who noticed a sachet of hypo bleach on the floor right beside where he was preparing the food worriedly alerted him of the sachet.
However, her father told her that she doesn’t need to bother, adding that the sachet won’t get near the soup.

Woman shows off her husband who cooks and pampers her with excess love
Meanwhile, a Nigerian woman took to the social space to show off her amazing husband, who cooks for her and pampers her with love.
In a TikTok video, the woman showed off her husband making various mouth-watering dishes in the kitchen.
From egusi soup to fried rice and chicken to stew, the man created a sensation the woman admired so dearly.
