A young woman who just passed out from the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) has set tongues wagging after the female corps member saves N1.9m from her allowance.
Every corp member in Nigeria is given a salary of N33,000 from the government, in addition to this the primary place of assignment of each corp member also gives a certain amount.
In the video that was posted on TikTok, the young woman explained that she did not spend any of her monthly allowance popularly called allawee which was how she gathered the money.

In order to prove her words, the young woman still dressed in her official Khaki uniform showed the interviewer, @Mc_MagicYGR her account balance which entailed over N1.9M.
Battabox calculated that if her monthly allowance was N33,000, multiplying it by 12 months results in N396,000, hence her addition of all the monthly allowances she received is not up to what she has in her account which made social media users agree that she might have a side business aside from the allawee.

Meanwhile, a young corps member wearing a white shirt and an NYSC cap asks online users for suggestions on what to do with the overpaid allowance.
A corps member apparently received a 330,000 naira allowance each month rather than the expected 33,000 naira, and she reportedly wept online.
The government usually provides a 33,000 naira monthly stipend to active corps members. In contrast, this woman stated in a video she posted online that she received ten times her typical salary in one month and that this was an overpayment.
