Famous Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie has opened up about how life was almost altered after a cancer scare.
The screen diva made this revelation during one of the latest episodes of her cooking show, tagged Mercy’s Menu.
Mercy Johnson had veteran actress, Joke Silva as her guest on the show, and she told her senior colleague that she was placed on medication for life.

This revelation came after Mercy had asked Joke Silva about the medical condition of her husband, Olu Jacobs. Mercy said she and her husband, Odi, had also been in a similar position.
My thyroid was removed
The mother of four added that she underwent a surgical procedure, and her thyroid was removed.
She said she and her family had to adapt to the new turn of events as her last child was only six months old.
The 38-year-old said it was like a journey for her, and she had to come to terms with the new development of taking medications daily.
Mercy Johnson also revealed that she was warned about possible side effects that may arise if she doesn’t take her medication on time.
“I had a cancer scare, and I had my thyroid removed; I had kids, and my lastborn was only six months old at the time; it was like a journey for us, and we had to understand that’s the new us,” she said.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian bride paused her lovely dance moment with her husband to greet popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson and her husband, Prince Okojie.
The couple was having their first dance at the wedding reception when Mercy Johnson made a grand entrance with her lovely husband.
Overjoyed to see Mercy Johnson at her wedding, the bride quickly went down on her knees to greet the star actress.
