The Governor of Osun state, Adeleke, has rejected the verdict of the tribunal ruling that annulled his victory at the polls held in July 2022.
In a swift reaction on his Twitter handle, the Governor called on his supporter to remain calm, assuring them that he was on top of the situation.
He said he would appeal the court verdict and is confident that justice would be served.

Recall that on Friday, January 27, a court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state capital declared the election that brought in Governor Ademola Adeleke as a fraudulent one.
The court said there were irregularities in the vote counts, insisting that the All Progressive Congress Candidate, Adegboye Oyetola was the rightful winner of the polls.
However, the incumbent Governor insisted that he would do everything possible to retain his mandate.
He said, “I want to use this opportunity to call on our people to remain calm. We will appeal the judgement and we are sure justice will be done. Let everyone be reassured that we will do everything possible to retain this widely acclaimed mandate. God bless Osun!”
