It is too cheap: Nigerians react to final year exam question of Benue varsity

Nigerian on social media have reacted to a leaked English language examination questions of a university in Benue state.

Benue state university had reportedly set the questions for their final year students, but many Nigerians have said that the questions are too cheap.

According to Esther David Ohunene, who shared the leaked question paper on Facebook, the examination questions are too cheap.

Esther is of the opinion that even students in Junior Secondary School (JSS3) would comfortably answer the questions without breaking a sweat.

“Look at the cheap questions for final year students at Benue state university. Even Jss3 students can answer without stress. Abi is it new generation questions?” she asked.

Benue State University Reacts

The Head of the English Department, Professor Moses Tsenongu, in a memo sighted by Nigerian Tribune, apologised to students and the University community for the incidence.

He describes the examination question as ’embarrassing academic incompetence,’ and promised to investigate and bring the perpetrators to book.

Furthermore, he added that the exam has been cancelled, and a rescheduled one will take place on Monday, December 19.

Nigerian university reacts to rumour of student impregnating female lecturer

Meanwhile, Federal University Lafia dismissed a report claiming that a student was expelled after he impregnated a female lecturer in the institution.

The rumour which circulated on social media claimed that the disciplinary committee of the Institution rusticated an undergraduate student of the university for inappropriate behaviour.

However, the management of Federal University Lafia (FULafia) in Nasarawa state, in a swift response, debunked the news, according to a report by Daily Trust.
