Noel Ifeanyi Alumona, a Nigerian student has been honoured after he was shortlisted for the 2023 Chegg.org’s Global Student Prize.
The competition is set for students who have in one way or the other impacted their community and the cash prize is N79 million.
Ifeanyi who is currently a Masters student at Vanderbilt University was shortlisted amongst the top 50 students making changes positively globally.

The young man is the founder of a non-government organization, Boys Champion where young boys are taught to not deal with issues with violence.
In a press release that was sighted on Global Teacher’s prize, Ifeanyi’s successful impact on society was revealed and it also read how the young man is ready to do more if he wins the prize.
“Winning the Global Student Prize would allow Noel to open a center for children with special needs, launch his endV app (an app to combat gender-based violence in Nigeria by creating a sustainable virtual safe space for women to seek help and support in a secure environment)
“Encourage more young leaders and entrepreneurs, and expand Boys Champions to work with the United Nations, AFS Intercultural Programs, Enugu State Government, and Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Women Affairs
“With the prize money, Boys Champions would be able to expand its reach, hire additional staff, and provide more resources to the communities it serves,” it read.
In a chat with Legit, Ifeanyi explained how honored and happy he was for his name to be one of the top 50 students who was acknowledged for his impact on society.

A student of the Holy Family School, Owuda Winifred emerged as the winner of an essay competition in Sokoto state.
The competition which was organized by Book O’Clock, a literary organization, was conducted to celebrate their 3 years anniversary.
42 students from 15 Secondary schools were invited to write essays with the title “If the President Could Read Me.” According to the organization, this title was brought forth so that students can express themselves on issues they would like the president to know.
