Several hours after advocating for the Yahoo boys, a Delta pastor was detained for killing a young girl.
Pastor Alex Itedjere was detained by Delta State police officers for allegedly killing a young girl in the state’s Ughelli North Local Government Area.
On Friday morning, September 22, 2023, the suspect—who is the founder of the Wellspring of God Ministry—was apprehended after the victim’s remains were located in his home.

The cleric reportedly killed the young girl with a machete after destroying his father’s shrine in the neighbourhood, which is at No. 4 Onomuke Street in Agbarha-Otor.
According to reports, the preacher was caught by a group of irate youngsters who eventually turned him over to the police.
The pastor was shown on camera lying in floodwaters in front of onlookers with his hands and legs tied.

This comes after the pastor defended internet trolls, sometimes known as yahoo guys, on his Facebook page a few hours earlier.
