Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, emerged winner of the presidential election held at Abuja area councils.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that the former governor of Anambra state received more votes than either candidate from the All Progressives Congress (APC) or Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to Channels TV, Peter Obi emerged winner in the Federal Capital Territory with a total of 281,717 votes.
APC followed scarcely with 90,912 votes and PDP with 74,193 votes.
