In a remarkable triumph over memory loss, Hauwa Umar Usman, a determined young African lady, proudly earned her Aeronautical Engineering degree with First-Class honors from the esteemed University of Brighton, located in the United Kingdom.

As one of the four exceptional students to achieve First-Class status in her department during the 2016/2017 academic session, Hauwa’s accomplishment stood out as a testament to her dedication and perseverance.

In other news, an American lady identified as Charlyne Smith emerged as the first black person to earn a PhD in Nuclear Engineering.

The 27 year old academic guru was originally from St. Catherine, Jamaica, North America until she moved to the United States in 2012 to pursue a career in science and technology.

She studied at the Coppin State University in Baltimore where she graduated from the institution in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics.
