During the Guinness World Records craze in Nigeria, a woman named Helen Williams, a hair vendor, successfully accomplished her ambitious goal of creating the world’s longest handmade wig.

Her decision to undertake this challenge came after receiving official approval from GWR and garnering support from her friends and online community.

Despite encountering some obstacles during the planning stage, Helen persevered, working tirelessly for several days until she finally completed the remarkable wig.

Helen expressed her surprise and excitement upon receiving the approval on June 4th but acknowledged the importance of proper planning before starting the endeavor.

Throughout the process, the lady set to make longest handmade wig shared her experience, including the difficulties she encountered while striving to achieve this extraordinary feat.

With determination and the encouragement of those around her, Helen Williams managed to create a record-breaking handmade wig that now stands as a testament to her dedication and passion in the hair industry in Nigeria.

The lady set to make longest handmade wig said, “I encountered many difficulties especially when we could not get any stadium or field the same length as the wig. We could not find a stadium up to 400 meters. We had to go back to the drawing board. However, none of these difficulties influenced the final design or process. It in fact made me search deeper and brought out the best of me.

“I did not want to let my family down even when I felt weak ( I thought about people who genuinely care about me) it gave me strength.

“I am happy to be the first person In the World to make and complete this attempt. There is nothing impossible if you put your mind to something and work very hard towards it.”

Nigerian man got approval from Guinness World Record for 200 hours of singing

Meanwhile, Oluwatobi Kufeji Àlejòpàtàkì, a saxophonist from Nigeria, embarked on a praise and worship marathon in Lagos with the aim of breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon.

He also hinted at his intention to challenge the current record for the longest concert by a solo artist at a later date.

A video shared on his Instagram page showed Oluwatobi already surpassing 25 hours into his singing marathon since its commencement on July 1, 2023.
