Skiibii, a renowned Nigerian singer, recently opened up about his career beginnings marred by false death rumours.

In August 2015, speculations circulated that Skibii had suffered a collapse and subsequently passed away. However, he disclosed that he was actually grappling with a health condition that caused recurrent episodes of unconsciousness.

In a viral interview, Skiibii explained that despite the initial setback, he not only survived the ordeal but also overcame the criticism he faced, including a mention in a song by Falz.

He received support and tributes from artists such as Davido and Wizkid.

Skibii reminisced about the incident, stating that he began his career with news of his own demise.

He recounted two instances when he experienced blackout episodes, once on a plane to South Africa and another at Kaycee’s house.

Skibii expressed his surprise upon discovering the Rest in Peace posts made by Wizkid, Davido, and others on social media.

To seek medical treatment, Skiibii travelled to the United States. He mentioned that due to his condition, he now avoids consuming certain things like pineapple and lime.
