Meet Alex, the World’s Most Realistic robot worth N3.6Bn who has a girlfriend with 3M followers on Tiktok

• Promobot, a Russian company, has created the World’s most realistic robot named Alex that can speak, display 600 human facial expressions, and be customized to resemble anyone.

• Alex has a humanoid girlfriend, Alexandra, a TikTok star with 3.3 million followers.

• Promobot has built over 1,000 robots operating in 50 countries worldwide, and their future plans include developing a walking robot.

A Russian company successfully created the World’s most realistic robot, named Alex.

While it is yet another proof that technology is advancing in incredulous leaps and bounds, the emergence of Alex, a hyper-realistic robot capable of speaking, displaying 600 human facial expressions, and being customized to resemble anyone, can be said to be ‘scary’.

Reports suggest that Alex even has a girlfriend named Alexandra, a humanoid barista with a significant following (3 Million!) on TikTok.

He is the World’s Most Realistic robot

This incredible creation is the brainchild of Promobot, a Russian company founded by three friends: Oleg Kivokurtsev, Maxim Utev, and Igor Yeremeev. Their journey began a decade ago when they started building robots by purchasing parts online.

Their debut creation, Promobot V1, had the ability to speak and recognize faces. However, the founders aimed to develop a more realistic-looking, truly remarkable robot. Today, Promobot has successfully constructed over 1,000 robots that operate in 50 countries worldwide.

Achieving this feat (the creation of humanoid robots like Alex) has not been an easy task. The company had to raise a substantial $8 million (equivalent to N3.68 billion) to bring this innovative machine to life.

Over 600 servomotors!

A servomotor, also known as a servo, is an electric motor that enables precise control of angular or linear position, velocity, and acceleration. It is a key component in many electromechanical systems and robotics applications.

Interestingly, Alex incorporates more than 600 servomotors in its face, body, and arms, allowing for precise control of movement and position.

Despite their impressive progress, the team at Promobot remains ambitious and determined. Their next goal is to develop a walking robot, which poses a significant challenge but one they believe they can overcome.
