Breaking: ICPC allegedly arrest Dbanj for fraud

Popular Nigerian musician, Dbanj has reportedly been arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for fraud.

Sources within the anti-graft agency told TheCable Lifestyle that the celebrity musician was arrested on Tuesday, Dec 6.

Dbanj is allegedly under investigation for diverting funds meant for the N-Power project, a Federal government project aimed at reducing unemployment amongst the youth.

Stipends meant for the beneficiaries of N-Power were reportedly paid into accounts linked with the Koko master.

The ICPC said it has invited Dbanj for questioning on many occasions but he didn’t honour their invitation, citing his busy schedule.

Following this, the ICPC began strategizing on how to arrest him, which caused Dbanj to show up at their headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.

After interrogations, Dbanj was detained and remains in the commission’s custody Wednesday morning.

However, the 41-year-old has yet to react to news of his detention.

Meanwhile, a woman identified as Princess Helen Abang was remanded in Suleja Custodial Centre for falsifying property documents.

Helen Abang falsified ownership of a two-story building with six units of three-bedroom flats.

Reports online showed she was remanded by Hon. Justice K.N. Ogbonnaya of a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Zuba.
