Abia State University is located in Uturu Okigwe, Abia state, in the Eastern part of Nigeria. It is one of Nigeria’s oldest universities.

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba

It was first established as Obafemi Awolowo University before being changed in 1985 to its present name. It is a grown university with 7 faculties and many departments.
